Nestled on the banks of the mighty Olifants River you will find a piece of heaven at Ximongwe River Camp. Situated in the Balule, Parsons Nature reserve and part of the greater Kruger National Park you will have the opportunity of the big 5 on your doorstep.

Hippo Cottage comprises of five bedrooms; double rooms, two bathrooms with shower and bath. A spacious kitchen fully equipped with gas/electric combination stove, fridge/freezer, and deep freeze. The large communal area consists of a dining room and lounge. Linen, towels and swimming pool towels are supplied. The unit is serviced daily.

Crocodile Cottage comprises of two bedrooms; double rooms, two bathrooms, one with shower and bath the other with shower only. A fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, microwave oven, and fridge/freezer combination. A comfortably furnished lounge area with an enchanting bar which opens to a balcony overlooking the Olifants River. Linen, towels and swimming pool towels are supplied. The unit is serviced daily.

Hearty meals will be served twice a day in the dining area, or on the deck, where you will experience good old-fashioned home cooking. Any special dietary requirements should be arranged beforehand.

We offer early morning or late afternoon informative game drives with an experienced field guide or for the more energetic we offer professionally guided bush and bird walks

Safety is of the utmost importance, which is why all excursions must be accompanied by our experienced field guide. We also offer accompanied day trips into the Kruger Park.

The large viewing deck, overlooking the Olifants River offers a variety of sightings daily from the Fish Eagle catching its daily food to the gentle giants of the bush grazing quietly on the banks of the river.

Welcome, relief from the summer heat can be enjoyed in the splash pool while gripping sounds can be heard around the boma at night when the African Wood Owl and the Pel's Fishing Owl are calling their mates.

Travelling was difficult. The road is a dirt road and not for low vehicles! In a suv no plroblem. A really lovely place where the elephants come right by your chalet. Our first night there we got the scare of our life by hearing the roar of not only lion but leopard too! And recording it on our phone. Our braai that night was put on hold as both my daughter and I were just too scared! Ronel and Johan make you feel so at home and are really friendly. They will go out of their way to help where they can. Thank-you? This is a lovely place. Tranquil and beautiful. Though I did not see lion we heard them and leopard too, believe me this was not far away as recording it on a phone would be impossible! This was right by us. Definitely a place to visit.
