THE GOAT SHED REVIEWS (100%)
Relaxing getaway by

Peter and Lindsay were wonderful hosts and The Goat Shed was a very well thought out unit. Despite being rustic in external appearance, The Goat Shed boasts a luxurious bathroom and the whole unit has small touches that make big differences. The bathroom has the option of being opened so one can get a view out whilst still being private. There is an outdoor shower with piping hot water, also kept private by being tucked in a corner with a tree for added protection.

The balcony manages to capture a nice balance of sun and shade, so you can be permanently stationed there without getting burnt or cold. It was very pleasant to be able to walk straight from the balcony out into the garden to the stream. There was a little shaded bench by the stream where you can just sit and sip wine for ages.

The kitchen, whilst tiny, has all you need (there is an electric frying pan and no stove, but that is easy to plan for - especially with there being a few restaurants to choose from).

We also organized a picnic basket from Lindsay, which was a great treat to have on the Saturday morning. We didn't make use of the Spa service, so we can't comment on that.

For those looking for absolute silence: The Goat Shed is close to the road, so there was the sound of traffic, but we weren't bothered by it. It was mostly muffled by a large hedge, and the cars weren't traveling fast due to the speed limit in the area. It was mostly a background white noise when it happened, but nothing that could be called a disturbance. Absolute silence was not what we were looking for on this particular trip.

Thank you, Peter and Lindsay! We will definitely be booking to stay again in the future! And hopefully we will go to Lindsay's bakery next time.

Super awesome pet friendly, self catering accommdation by

We have been all over the Western Cape, since 2011, staying in self catering accommodation (pet friendly if our dogs were with us). The Goat Shed has by far out down all the other places that we've stayed at. I have rated accordingly. Regards, Lindsay
