THE COURTYARD HOTEL REVIEWS (47 %) Friendly staff horrible manager by Tatenda Teffo 02 March 2017 The manager could treat the occupants like adults and talk to people better and not generalize on nationalities, they should stock up better on their groceries for their guests, cause Being told some of your ingredients for breakfast are finished, is not ideal.
And they can all just learn to make each guest to feel like they are the most important and only guest they have , being told not to sit at certain tables cause there's more people coming it's like others are more important than others by virtue of number of people making the booking.
Cleaning staff had to be requested to clean the rooms and refill toilet paper. Disastrous- very poor service by Thomas Gulube 07 January 2018 The booking and payment was done in February 2017. Firstly, directions provided for Safari are not accurate. Secondly, we finally got to the place at 5:45 pm and we sat there for about 2 hours to be taken to our room. When we got to the door the receptionist told us to wait he is coming back by the door. After 30 mins the occupants came out to find out what was happening and we told her that the receptionist told us to wait for him there. Only to find out the room that we've booked was given to somebody else and we did not have a room and they claimed that the hotel is fully booked for that night. We were then taken back to the reception to wait. This happens after the whole day of driving from South Africa. We are tired with kids. We waited at the reception while they were trying to get us a place for the night. Finally they got us a mission house with smelly sick dogs that we had to sleep in for the night. On our return to the hotel the next morning, we complained to the manager and asked for compensation for the inconvenience. Her response was that we should be thankful that we had a roof over our head the previous night. When we got to the room, on our first night the room was not cleaned and towels not changed. For breakfast, the chef is also the waiter. On our first he complained that he can't do omelette cause he is alone, sausage was finished and there were no mushrooms. 2nd day still no sausage and mushroom. Hygiene wise- the food was hand held and there was no one to clean up the tables cause the chef is cooking. this is how pathetic the service of this place was. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Things were broken in the room and plugs not working. THE COURTYARD HOTEL LOCATION
