May Thabametsi Farm weave its magic on your soul so that your footsteps automatically lead you back to this tranquil, rustic self-catering farm getaway.

All units have DSTV, indoor fireplaces, heaters and electric blankets, cater for cosy winter nights whilst summer evenings are braai-time in the lovely bomas under the stars. Fully equipped kitchens and there is also free under cover parking.

Activities include swimming in the solar heated pool, exercise room with some cardio equipment, games in the entertainment area with DSTV. Surprise games set up for kids, a jungle gym, trampoline and obstacle course. The kids will discover a fantasy garden and the adults a thought provoking labyrinth. PONY RIDES for kids.

Nature walks, bird-watching, kids bicycle track, cycling for adults are all on offer. Tractor cart and pony rides for a small fee and donkey cart rides free. Our coffee and craft shop offers local gifts and homemade products as well as some basic necessities whilst enjoying milkshakes, various coffees and more from the coffee shop.

Thabamesti Farm offers pet friendly, family orientated accommodation. This is a true farm stay experience with horses grazing in the paddocks, miniature donkeys, goats, ducks, chickens and a turkeys for the children to feed and keep an eye out for the two tortoises.

Units bit close to each other ( no privacy ) when there is other guests as well.

GREAT FAMILY TIME by

We had the privilage of staying at Thabametsi for a week. We had an incredible time. The absolute quiet and serenity made us as a family come closer together. Granted the units are a bit on top of each other, so privacy is not high. Our children truly enjoyed the tractor and horse rides. I would suggest if you enjoy fishing to take your fishing gear. Please note, if you want to relax and escape your children, find a pleasure resort, as here you have the nature and yourself. If you want to bond with your children, I would rate this as family get away, nothing else. We went with our bakkie, so enjoyed watching the sunset from on top the koppie. Fabulous!

Like always the staff is super friendly and helpful, the kids had a blast with the tractor and donkey cart rides.

We had a wonderful weekend. The owl cottage was bigger than anticipated. There are lovely walking trails on the farm and we really enjoyed the company of the farm dogs. The hosts are friendly and helpful. All in all, a great stay.

Getting back in touch with all that really matters in life by

I loved our long weekend stay at Thaba-metsi. My 2 girls were constantly entertained with pony rides, tractor rides, feeding animals, swimming and long nature walks. I went for a run on the farm property, and was met with horses grazing and birds chirping around me. Our house was wonderful, with absolutely everything we needed - and even farm fresh eggs from the little shop on the premises. We loved it, and will return in future.
