SUNSET BEACH RESORT REVIEWS (80 %) Sunset Beach Resort by Philippa Leo, South Africa 08 January 2010 The stay in the chalet (Barracuda) was very comfortable (Luckily not one mozzy was seen-only a harmless groenslang in the tree) Barracuda should be upgraded to standard of chalet Baleia - got impression Barracuda a little under-maintained.
Preferable to take a proper 4 x 4 and/or a quad bike to get down to the beach and up again, although we walked the short distance, very good exercise.
Danie and Elsa and their staff were really great and always cheerful and helpful and went out of their way to help whenever this was needed, especially advice.
Servicing of the chalet was minimal, would suggest two to three times per week and not 15 minutes once per week. Also a facility to wash particularly towels, would have been a bonus.

The setting and swimming were lovely. However there are no activities at Sunset Beach no snorkeling, diving or additional activities. We found the food at the restaurant to be very average. The rolls were literally rock hard, the prawns were tiny, the calamari was chewy and they ran out 2M and only got new stock many days later.
