This family-friendly safari lodge is set within a 7000-hectare private reserve within the Kruger Park ? a majestic 2 million hectares of free roam for an abundance of African wildlife ? including the Big 5.

Our location at the broadest point of the Olifants River allows for a truly unique river safari experience

Your Stay at Nzwuwizi will inlcude a nature walk to an archeological site on the bed of the Olifants river.

In the evenings guests are either taken on a Riverboat Safari Cruise or a Game Drive that meanders along with the river and more.

Friendly, helpful staff, excellent game drive, but basic accommodation at not such basic rates.

Misleading distances; 1.5 hours drive from Hoedspruit, This should be mentioned on the website so that a guest can plan BEFORE making the booking!





We had a really wonderful time. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Vusi is a wonderful guide and an asset to the reserve. We spent many happy hours watching the activity on the river.
Accommodation is good but very basic. Bedding and rondawel very neat and clean. The fridge in the 8 bed rondawel is not big enough to cater for so many people and keeping your ice was a problem. The "stove" in the rondavel is also just a 2 plate hotplate. These are just little things that is useful for first time visitors.
In general we had a very happy stay - the perfect place to recharge batteries and spend quality time with family. We will definitely go back.

The friendliness of the staff and Management and especially our guide, Madelyne that took us on an unforgettable game drive. Me and my wife had a good rest. we will definitely visit Struwig Eco Reserve again

Baeutiful location, most friendly staff, peacful and tranquility that is so refreshing to the soul. Loved the Rustic accomidation and the fact that its on the Olifants river gives you ample time to sit and take in the surroundings. Abundance of wildlife and loved the Daily Game Drives.

Had a very lovely stay. Unit was very clean and well equiped. All staff were very friendly and approachable. A couch in the entrance area of the unit will be beneficial.
