CLOSED Until further notice. Spreeufontein Guest Farm is situated about 40 km from Prince Albert, in the Great Karoo. It offers a peaceful and quiet atmosphere that caters for the outdoor lovers.

The old farmhouse consists of four bedrooms, a full bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, an open-plan lounge and a braai area. As there is no electricity, a generator is used for lights and a gas stove for cooking. Meals can be ordered by prior arrangement only.

Numerous day excursions will keep guests busy, and a nearby site is famous for its Dynacophylin and Bradysaurus foot prints. Guests can enjoy the farm's hiking trails or just relax while watching the variety of bird life.

Thanks so much for the amazing stay! The guest farm is very isolated with incredible views of the night sky. The host is fantastic and made our stay very enjoyable. Thank you!

BAD BAD BAD -STAY AWAY by

Toilet leaking on bathroom floor - a no no. Bath outlet blocked. No power backup - batteries did no last evening. Water dry up while in shower. Property badly maintained. Yard untidy and filthy. Rip off - far better places near Prince Albert at cheaper rates. Photos totally unreliable of current status. Can provide photos to proof. How can SafariNow support this? ESTABLISHMENT RESPONSE: My apologies to Mr Prinsloo on their stay at our guest house. He had a bad experience - the only guest out of 20 guest(some of which were from overseas) that stayed here over December 2014. Our power supply is constant if you do not use other appliances other than lights and chargers. Just arranged before hand with us if you need more power, please. The place has had a makeover at the end of December and the photo's are reliable. There is no leakage and the bathroom has a slow flow out. The water is constant - we use a solar waterpump - it's not possible for the water to dry up. Mr Prinsloo was happy when he left the morning after breakfast, he arranged with the host to braai thé evening and came back after 4 the afternoon - packed up and left. I am truly sorry for the inconvenience.



Hi I stayed at Spreeufontein Guest Farm during December 2014 on my way to Cape TownI loved the old farm house life style It is a typpical farm atmosfere with no electricy only a generator when you need it Al the silence on the farm with only the natural farm noices, birds singing in the morning was fantastic The food was also typical to a farm braai at night time and a lovely breakfast in the morning The people at the farm house are very friendly and they let you feel comfort always ready to assist. Will stay there again.
