Spitzkoppe Mountain Tented Camp is situated only one kilometres from the beautiful Spitzkoppe Mountains. The campsite boasts pre-erected safari tents, and camping sites ideal for families and groups. The area is popular with mountain climbers, hikers and star gazers.The camp offers comfortable safari tents, already set up and wait for your arrival and camping sites with private bathrooms, showers and electrical points. Each tent sleeps three people and has a private bathroom with running water and flush toilets. Bar and Restaurant is available however guest can also bring thier own catering equipment and staff are available to assist with any requests. Braai facilities and washing up areas are provided at each campsite.Guests can enjoy sunset tours a guided drive or walk to the popular Bushmen Paintings or mountain biking.

Oh what a pleasure!!! The staff were friendly, our tents were clean - bedding as well as toilet.
You could have meals there - we braaied and they lit little candles in paper bags. Loved our one night stay there.

The surprise of the prize to pay Not the same as quoted by

What a question to ask about my stay in Spitzkoppe Mountain Tented Camp ! I am very disgusted in the way that this was offered to me. I booked through Safarinow and they send me a quote which I agreed upon on a certain amount. A total of 50% was deducted immediately from my account and the rest needs to be paid in full on arrival. On arrival things started to go wrong. When it comes to pay, the amount was suddenly not correct. My part to pay was N$168,00 which was the other half of N$377,00. I was informed by a staff member that the outstanding amount was N$ 1 527,00 and the quote was a mistake and was booked for a camping site. This was not mentioned at all on my Quote from Safarinow. What a nice way to catch people/guests to pay that extra amount !!! Spitzkoppe is very far from any town or city and it is impossible to go quickly and draw extra cash. (something that they are aware of). Also they knew that it would be very difficult to book at nearby facilities without prior reservation, which there is only one.

What if I could not pay on arrival? Further the place is too expensive for what you get. The staff promised to provide us with extra blankets, cutlery, drinking glasses, and I also asked for ice as there is no facility nearby. I waited 5 hours for a very small packet of ice, had to go and fetch the cutlery myself and the blankets never came. It was bitterly cold during the night without the extra protection. The donkey was on with fire to provide warm water, but without any warm water.The generator was also swithed off due to not enough petrol. This facility needs a urgent upgrade for the price or a a lower price for what you get.

We stayed our last night at Windhoek Game Lodge in a Safari Tent for a far lesser price. What an excellent place to stay! The owner of Spitzkoppe Tented Camp can certainly visit this place to learn an see how it is supposed to be done. I will not recommend Spitzkoppe Tented Camp to any body. I also feel that this was not my mistake. An offer was quoted to me which I accepted. On our way I also mentioned to my wife that we must not expect much for the price quoted. WHAT A SURPRISE!!!! The question is, Who will pay me back the difference between the original quotation and the amount that I was forced to pay.

Please inform me as I whish to share this experience on Social Media to warn other people not to make the same mistake.

There was no food, ice or cold beer. For the amount I paid one expects much better. No hot water, I requested the staff to load the "donkey". Couldn't find the staff the next morning to try again for hot showers. No luck. We left without showering

Could water shower heads not cleaned for some time wrong shower heads for low flow system by

Breakfast cold overpriced know there is no where else to stay and eat this overpriced for facilities and food and not maintained we we warned about the hot water and still got the same answer as the previous guest
