Shingema Accommodation is situated at the ?hoek? of Acornhoek along the R40 road to Hoedspruit. It is a superbly stylish and romantic, yet attractive place.

We have eight Self-catering Rooms; each fully furnished with a double bed and a bathroom with a shower. The rooms all have tea and coffee-making facilities; dining tables with two chairs, kitchenettes with stoves and sitting areas with TVs. The rooms are also fully air-conditioned.

Shingema is just 30 minutes' drive from East Gate Airport. Guests can also have the advantage of visiting the beautiful Drakensberg Mountains, the spectacular Blyde River Canyon, the Echo Caves, God's Window and the Bourkes Luck Potholes.

I absolutely cannot recommend Shingema Lodge. As we arrived late in the afternoon we were forced to look for another accomodation as we refused to stay in that dirty hole without water, no water in the shower, no toilet flush. We were offered a bucket (2 people for washing and toilet). The employe was totally incompetent for anything. As we wanted to talk to the manager, that too was not possible. I only hope we will get back the money we payed in advance. So DON'T send anybody to that "lodge". We never made a bad experience like that.
