Villa Rosa Guest House is on a farm 68 km from Sutherland on the R354 to Calvinia and 15 km from the small privately-owned town of Middelpos. Guests can make use of the barbecue facilities and watch the Karoo sunsets and the starry skies.
Sutherland has wide open spaces, making it ideal for watching the stars at night and enjoying the peace and quiet of the surroundings. It is also home to the South African Astronomical Observatory.
