You'll need a car to reach Table Mountain cableway (5½km uphill) and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Constantia Winelands, Seapoint Promenade and Camps Bay and Clifton Beaches. It's a day trip along Chapman's Peak Drive to Cape Point, Cape of Good Hope, Simon's Town and Boulders Penguins. The family-friendly beaches of False Bay are really worth a visit and while you are at it, the quirky coastal towns of Kalk Bay and Muizenberg. There's so much to do that you'd better book at least a week's holiday in Cape Town!
