Pinnon Lodge

Pinnon Lodge, Kafue National Park is a small family run safari lodge on the banks for the Kafue river. Owned and run by Ruth and Lyndon Pinches from the UK. The lodge provides comfort, tranquillity and an element of wildness at the same time yet offers exceptional value for money. Frequently visited by Lion, Leopard and other large mammals, the lodge is in complete harmony with its surroundings.

Currently, we have two luxury tented chalets right on the river front, each with their own veranda. Kingfisher chalet is surrounded by water on three sides and is the prime spot for bird watching, especially kingfishers and hippos as they relax on the sandbank 30m from the chalet. Wagtail chalet, on the other hand, overlooks the whole river and is the perfect place for a sun-downer as it faces west.

Our restaurant and bar also face west and is right on the river where you can spot hippos and crocs daily as well as a host of birds. However, if you choose to look the other way you will see an open plain where we regularly spot large game such as elephant, kudu, lion and even cheetah. Situated just a three-hour drive from Lusaka, Pinnon Lodge is a great place to get away for a long weekend.
