The Oyster Box is a cosy, lovely decorated and well-equipped self-catering holiday home for those who prefer the finer things in a home. It is situated in the Overberg area in Franskraal - 3km from Kleinbaai (world-renowned for its shark-cage diving and whale watching tours (Southern Right Whale). Gansbaai is the local town. Hermanus (45 min) away. Along this coastline with beautiful sea and mountain views you will truly be able to unwind and relax. Take a 200 m walk from this home and enjoy an early "sun-rise" coffee on the rocks, or a picnic at a table with a bench positioned to enjoy the view over Dyer Island. Create unforgettable memories in this charming, house offering you the following: THREE BEDROOMS: two rooms are furnished with double beds and have views over the patio, garden and partial sea-views. The 3rd bedroom has two twin beds facing the front garden. Mosquito nets for a romantic ambience in two bedrooms. A double sleeper couch in the lounge area offers additional sleeping space for two adults or children. The rooms offer good quality mattresses and linen plus hairdryers. Please bring own beach towels. The LIVING AREA(S):- opens up to a tiled outside patio with a build-in barbeque (braai) with garden and partial sea-views. The patio furniture includes:- tables, chairs, umbrellas, "braai" equipment and utensils for 10 persons. KITCHEN:- fully equipped with an electric stove and oven, fridge with deep-freeze, smoothie-maker, toaster, sandwich- press, frying-pan/slow-cooker, microwave oven, a kettle, coffee plunger, a vacuum cleaner and washing machine. The DINING-ROOM is adjacent to the kitchen and lounge (open plan) with a table seating 6-8 persons.There is a flat-screen Smart TV with a DSTV -antenna and a decoder with the Open View Channel. Please bring your own decoder and smart-card. BATHROOMS: One and a-half bathroom. An en-suite (shower, basin and toilet) for the main bedroom and a second separate bathroom (bath, basin and toilet) to share for the other two rooms. EXTRA TOUCHES:- A decorated Xmas tree in December, magazines, books, games and music for guests to relax with. For memorable days on the beach we provide beach-umbrellas and chairs, cooler bags with picnic utensils and beach ball games. PRIVATE OFF-STREET PARKING and an ALARM SYSTEM with 24 hours armed response and burglar bars on the windows. RATES: A standard minimum daily rate of R 1 600 will apply for 1-4 persons during peak seasons (Dec- Jan and long weekends). A minimum of 10 nights stay is required for Dec - Jan and a minimum of 4 nights during long -weekends. Special discounts for stays longer than 14 days . Daily rates of R 1 200 p.n for February - April. Children above 7 years old will be charged R150 per night per child. Prepaid electricity of R200 provided. PLEASE USE WATER SPARINGLY - NO WASHING OF CARS . NO EXTRA GUESTS IN TENTS/CARAVANS/MOTOR HOMES WILL BE ALLOWED WITHOUT PRIOR PERMISSION AND ADDITIONAL CHARGES PER PERSON.
