Ideally positioned halfway between Cape Town and Windhoek, you'll find this stunning camp to be the ideal stopover. Oewerbos River Camp offers meals, a self-catering option and has a full bar available to its guests.

At Oewerbos you can just relax, chill at the pool or enjoy the built in Jacuzzi, unwind on the deck directly overlooking the river while sipping on an ice cold beverage or read a book in your hammock. Don't leave before experiencing one of our famous pizzas from the wood-burning oven while you take in the Orange River at sunset. But that's not where the beauty ends - the Richtersveld night sky is ablaze with millions of stars. This is possibly one of the best places in the world for stargazing.

The view is spectacular.

Wouldn't go back! by

Oewerbos has the perfect location, however the property is poorly maintained. The chalets were dark and dingy, with obvious issues that can be easily fixed. There was NO hot water and we had to shower in ice cold water for 2 days. It is an 'okay' place to stay, but we definitely won't be back.

River views by

The overnight chalets are perfect for a short stay. Very clean, and with all the basics of comfort and amenities one needs. Spacious private bathrooms. The bar-restaurant-lounge is wonderful. Relaxed, casual and welcoming, and with beautiful river views across to Namibia. There was a burst water main the next morning, affecting everything, which is the only reason we are rating our overall stay as "3".
