The View

The View lodge with it's breathtaking dam and mountain views is situated in the Big 5 Mabalingwe Game Reserve, a malaria free area just 130 km from Pretoria and 27km from Bela Bela.
This self-catering house boasts unbelievable views of the dam and the mountains and is perfect for nature-loving families or couples looking for a romantic getaway.

See the hippo's from the veranda and listen to the lion's early morning roar and the fish eagle's call.
Kudu and warthogs are daily visitors at the house and at night small cats and porcupines come looking for food.
The house is very private, just the place were you can come and unwind after a busy week at the office.
Come take a moonlit shower in our bush shower. Or relax in the romantic bath with a view of the dam.

The house features a private boma for a braai under the stars and a private swimming pool for hot summer days.

You don't even have to worry about dirty dishes, the house is serviced daily.

Enjoy a free game drive in your own vehicle or book a game drive in Mabalingwe's wildlife-vehicle at reception.

A variety of attractions await guests in the nature reserve including night game drives, bird watching, horse riding and lion feeding at Mabalingwe's predator park.

Mabalingwe also offers putt-putt, tennis courts, a squash court, a pool table, a children's playroom, table tennis, a large chess set, and swimming pools, including 2 heated pools, all these activities are free and only 5min drive from the lodge.
One of the new attractions in the reserve is the Mbali day spa.

The farm shop is open for visitors during the day, and there is a restaurant with dam views.
A visit to the Oasis bush pub is also a must.

The View offers self-catering accommodation in a lovely 3-bedroom home that can accommodate a maximum of 6 adults and 2 children.
The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a romantic bath overlooking the dam.
The second bedroom has a king-size bed and both bedrooms have views of the dam.
The third bedroom has twin beds and a queen-size bed.

The house also comprises an open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a stove, an oven, a fridge-freezer, and a microwave.
The living area has a TV with full DStv.
There is shade-parking available for 2 cars.
