In the heart of Stilbaai, walking distance from the picturesque Goukou river, you will find the Bellevue Resort.Come and enjoy the comfort of these beautiful self catering units the Resort has to offer.  The Bellevue Resort offers a variety of different units to meet your requirements.  From a very spacious sleep 8 Unit, all the way down to a sleep 3 Unit.  All the units are fully equipped, and some of the units offers DSTV.  Guests are requested to bring along their own beach towels. Some of the units have delightful patio areas with private braai facilities.  The garden area offers a big swimming pool, for those lazy summer afternoons and more than enough braai facilities.  Your children will have hours of none stop fun, while you have a relaxing day away from the beach. Unfortunately NO ANIMALS ARE ALLOWED at this resort. R500 breakage deposit payable on arrival, refundable within 7-10 working days after departure.This is the ideal holiday accommodation.  Stilbaai is famous for its endless beaches. Walk alongside the beach to extensive shell middens left by prehistoric peoples and view ancient stone fish traps that are still in use. There are numerous restaurants nearby.  Nature trails, bird watching, golf, tennis, horse riding, bowls and boating nearby. Sweeping white sandy beaches;safe swimming in the Indian Ocean; unrivaled fishing venues and one of the best surf spots in South Africa.  Whale watching in season (June - October)  See the unique feeding of the tame eels and visit the ancient Strandlooper fish traps - 2500 years old.

I was not happy with our stay. The place smelled like mold. The stove didn't work and kept tripping the only other light in the lounge. There was absolutely no view of the lagoon. The maintenance lady didn't answer her phone when I called so I called the second number given, that lady tried calling her and she answered. What if it was an emergency?? The paint in the bathroom was just horrendous and the paint on the roof was peeling off. There was no shower curtain so when bathing the water spilled everywhere. For the money I paid and what we lived in, it looked NOTHING like the pictures!

Location by

Although advertised as room for 4 people, the bunk bed was in fact a sleeper couch and not fit for 2 teenagers. Would be perfect for 2 adults and 2 smaller children. Was a bit cramped and had to take extra stretcher so that each could have their own bed. Maybe look at ages of children before renting it out. Would also suggest the braai / stoep areas are closed off a bit for more privacy. But otherwise had a nice stay.
