Nungubane Game Lodge is a mere three hours from Johannesburg in the sprawling wilderness of the Welgevonden Private Game Reserve.

The lodge can accommodate a total of 10 guests in intimate elegance. The area is malaria free and is situated in the heart of the spectacular Waterberg. Nungubane is surrounded by 35000 hectares of African bush, offering superb Big 5 game viewing opportunities.

Guests are accommodated in spacious chalets, which command majestic views over the reserve from their individual decks. Nungubane is known for the warmth of its welcome, the friendliness of its staff and for its magnificent, tranquil ambiance.

Our party of three spent two great nights at Nungubane Game Lodge. It's an intimate place and the limited number of guests adds to the experience of retreating to the bush. The rooms are spacious and luxurious and the staff helpful, friendly and produce some amazing meals. Of course the real reason for being there was the game and it didn't disappoint; cheetah, lion, rhino, elephant etc. I can't recommend it highly enough; we'll be back for a hopeful rendezvous with leopard.
