Coot Cottage is situated in the quiet country town of Stanford, a short drive from its touristy neighbour, Hermanus.The cottage has two bedrooms and two shower rooms. The Studio is a further self contained, ensuite bedroom.The Cottage kitchen has a modern touch along with a cosy living area. There is also a gorgeous and secure garden, and the cottage is a stone's throw away from the Klein River.Stanford offers fantastic restaurants, a wine route with some remarkable wineries, and a renowned microbrewery. There is a great amount of activities for outdoor lovers, including scenic mountain biking trails, canoeing and cruising on Klein Rivier. The Salmonsdam Nature Reserve has hiking paths amid mountain fynbos, forests and waterfalls.

Newly renovated cottage close ro river by

Lovely two bedroomed cottage a minutes walk from the river.Ttastefully  renovated in a peaceful garden. Will definitely be back for a week of relaxation and walking!

Stay at Coots Cottage by

We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend at Coots Cottage. The cottage was neat, clean and very cosy. We enjoyed eating in the beautiful back garden at night. Stanford is truly a hidden gem. I would recommend Coots Cottage to anyone looking to break away from the city.

Delightful experience by

We love the cosy atmosphere of the cottage as well as it's location. It had all the comforts that one needs with great extras such as books, dvds and all the necessities for braaing and cooking. I would highly recommend it and would love to stay there again.

Lovely garden and proximity to the river wandel by

Lots of room and big garden with well stocked kitchen and dstv plus dvds very well furnished and comfortable
Main bedroom lacks a door to the bathroom so light is a problem...
Studio lacks curtains on one window
No WiFi....essential these days!
Otherwise with the above fixed we would return

We intend to respond to Mr Macintosh`s comments by installing wifi, putting a door on the bathroom and a blind on that window. We appreciate helpful comments.
