Rooiheuwel is a charming self-catering cottage on a lovely farm. It is situated in the heart of the wine region and 30 minutes from Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. The cottage provides real value for money in peaceful and safe country surroundings.

The cottage is comfortably furnished and comes with one bedroom fitted with a double bed and two single beds. Linen is provided and the bedroom is serviced by an en-suite bathroom.

The unit features a lounge and a kitchenette equipped with basic amenities such as a bar fridge, a two-plate stove and a microwave. There is a lovely shaded patio complete with a built-in braai. All the braai wood will be supplied.

Experience views of the beautiful mountains and vineyards, or just sit under the oaks and enjoy a glass of wine.

Wonderful stay, simply delightful by

Need a rest and to get away from it all! Here is the place for you. We arrived and were made welcome, and during the weekend were given the feeling we were more than just guests! Helius ans Anina were perfect hosts, and the children were a pleasure to see. Will do this again soon!

Lovely stay at Rooiheuwel Cottage. Tucked away on a farm, peaceful surroundings and very comfortable facilities. Would definitely recommend.



What a beautiful place. Everything that you neede was there. There were so many little extra things (like flowers in the room, etc) that made us feel extra special. Would've booked longer if we knew it was going to be so nice.

Anina was a wonderful hostess and we had everything we needed for a peaceful weekend away. The cottage is well looked after and the personal touches made our stay feel special. Would recommend Rooiheuwel Cottage for anyone who wishes to escape the hustle of town but does not want to travel far.

Such a warm welcome,absolute value for money. We go away often for weekends and I must say Rooiheuwel probably one if the best. Would definitely recommend

We enjoyed our stay at Rooiheuwel as the cottage was very well equipped (including the extras like wood, ice, DSTV etc that does not always come with self-catering accommodation) . The hostess, Anina, was friendly and helpful answering all our questions, even prior to our arrival.
