The main bedrooms are en-suite and have wide ocean views from their beds, while the open-plan living area is spacious and conducive to a very sociable weekend, combining a lime-washed country kitchen, a long dining table and comfy couches set around a massive hearth for those dark and stormy nights.

The prime setting is exploited with a shady veranda equipped with lime-washed Morris-style furniture, and a sheltered braai area built around the local rock. Stepping through the wide glass sliding doors the interior is spotless and the fittings and fabrics are tastefully coordinated. Kilims, downlighters, DSTV and a dishwasher lend a definite luxurious touch.
