Tshima Bush Camp is a small, intimate camp close to Maun, the iconic safari town of Botswana. It is situated on 30 hectares of natural bush with direct access to the Nhabe river. Our Meru style tents provide comfort and lots of privacy. Walking trails invite guests to explore the area. You may find duiker, aardvark and a huge variety of birds. From time to time, elephants pass by as well and hippos inhabit the river. The camp serves as an excellent spot to spend the night while travelling between various treasures in Botswana. Furthermore, it is a perfect base for exploring nearby natural treasures such as the world-famous Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve and Nxai Pan National Park. The village of Komana is located close by and can be explored to get a glimpse of Botswana village life. We can organise various trips to all of these areas. Just drop us an email to ask for the possibilities. For 250 BWP per person, a 3-course dinner is served every evening. It will be enjoyed in our garden under the stars. Tshima Bush Camp is easy to reach via a good quality tar road, just a 25-minute drive from Maun. We look forward to welcoming you as our guests!

Tranquility in the bush by

We would return in a heartbeat. Really enjoyed our too short time there. The hosts were excellent and the dinner appetising. Bed was comfortable and the square mozzie net better than the regular round version. All the best guys.

Stunning by

Stunning place to stay at! Near Maun and you still get the camp and bush feeling! With great breakfast every morning! Love it! Will definitely go back again! And I recommend it for sure!

The tents was the best by

When we arrive and see the gate to this place, I was not impress at all. The tents was the best. The food that night that we have to pay extra was a bad experience and not the value for your money. The hosts was very friendly. But that is it. I would not recommend this place for anybody Sorry.

A quiet corner! by

The bush camp is approx 30 km from Maun. I would suggest to take along what you need in terms of food and drinks. There is a fire grid outside if you would like to braai, but apart from cups, sugar, tea and coffee, there are no other amenities in the tent i.e. a fridge or kettle, cutlery etc. We were presented with a flask with boiling water to make our own coffee or tea and a flask with ice water to drink. The tent and the en suite is spacious and very neat, with a mosquito net over the comfy bed. The hosts treated us to a lovely picnic style breakfast the following morning at the tent. There is only solar power, but we were able to charge cell phones in the tent.
