The Kraal Lodging is situated on the Thamalakane River, the main outlet of the Okavango Delta and is a short 10-minute drive from Maun and the airport. It is a quiet, peaceful place, tucked away in natural surrounds offering uninterrupted views of the river from the viewing deck, making it a paradise for bird watchers and nature lovers.There are four thatched guest rooms available, each with en-suite bathrooms and air-conditioning. Guests can unwind in the communal living area, make good use of the fully equiped kitchen, or enjoy the view on the stunning wooden deck overlooking the river.Apart from the occasional hippo and crocodile, bird life is in abundance here. Many rare species have been sighted, including Bat-hawks and Ayres' Hawk Eagles.

What a nice place to be by

I really enjoyed my stay with The Kraal over the Easter weekend 2015. It is such a relaxed atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and helpful! I can really recommend this lodge if you are looking for a quiet accommodation where the cry of the fish eagle wakes you up and not TV or radio.
