Situated in the little town of Loeriesfontein, Smurf's Den offers great self-catering accommodation to guests visiting this quiet part of the Northern Cape.

The house has three comfortably furnished units. Each air-conditioned unit has a double bed, an en-suite bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen. These units also have TVs with DStv access.

The house is conveniently located close to the major highways in the area, making it an ideal stopover choice when exploring this province.

Clean and comfortable by

While traveling through the Karoo, on our way up to Namibia, Smurf's Den served as a quiet, comfortable overnight rest spot. Expect friendly, accommodating service and beautiful views.

The cottages are located on one side of a residential property  Right on the edge of Loeriesfontein (in the same street as the police station).  It is quiet there.
The owner is VERY helpful and welcoming.
The cottages we stayed in had an en-suite bathroom in the double bedroom.  My unit also featured a sleeper couch in the lounge area. There is a proper air-conditioning unit which should take care of temperature extremes.   The mattress on the bed was great - I suffer from back problems so this was particularly important to me.
The Kitchenette had everything one might need: Microwave, 2 plate hob, electric frying pan, fridge as well as the usual cutlery and crockery.  They also provided tea/coffee milk sachets and fire lighters for the braai.
I will stay there again if I am in the area!
