Our roof terrace boasts a magnificent view of Table Mountain and also has views of Table Bay Harbour and Signal Hill.

Trendy restaurants, bars, clubs, and the fashionable Cape Quarter Lifestyle shopping mall are just around the corner. The term "De Waterkant Village" is used due to the parallels with Greenwich Village in New York, and many buildings date back to the 18th century.

Fabulous time by

We had a fabulous time in Cape Town and Purple House added to that by being in a great location and being a great place to stay. Everything's lovely and clean, comfortable and provided for. The hosts, Guido and Henk are darlings and give very good restaurant advice (and yummy cake, if you're lucky). All in all highly recommended and I'm a pretty fussy customer. Thanks guys!

We were looking for a place within the Waterkant Village in Cape Town, when we saw the Purple House on SafariNow. The place, the house and the owners Henk and Guido, their hospitility, friendliness met all our expectations. The house is a wonderful place, great roof terrace, wonderful open and kind people, fresh and healthy breakfast and amazing inside of the house and our room. Great place to stay, lovely people, go for it.

I stayed at Purple House in March 2011 for several days and, without doubt it is a real treasure. Comfortable, spotless, quiet and truly special. Add to that a breakfast that will give you all the energy you need for Cape Town's sightseeing. The legendary nightlife of Cape Town is within easy and safe walking distance. The host's Henke and Guido are justifiably proud of their beautiful home and, they enjoy making you welcome. They are also a mine of information on the many great restaurants nearby for your evening meal. This is truly a superb place to stay.

What a great time we had staying with Guido and Henk. Everything was wonderful, decor and food and cleanliness. Perfect place to have a home away from home. Will definitely visit again.
