Picardie Guest Farm is one of the oldest farms situated in the beautiful historical town of Paarl, in the Western Cape. The farm has its own natural spring, of which are bottled and sold to the public. We offer a range of products, including still water and flavoured sparkling water.

In 1689 the Taillefert family was granted the farm Picardie as well as the adjacent farm LaBorie, which stretched from the banks of the Berg River on the east, to the Paarl Mountain on the west. Picardie and part of LaBorie were later sold to Adriaan Jacobus Louw, in whose family it has now been for six generations.

Today Picardie is a working guest farm, nestled at the foot of the Paarl Mountain with views over the valley. Picardie is ideal for a weekend break away, a holiday or any special celebration. We also cater for corporate weekends and school groups. We specialise in wedding ceremonies and can cater to your every need and your budget.

The scenery was very beautiful, but that was about it. When flushing the toilet, you need to lift the cover of the bowl and pull on the mechanism to flush. The one bathtub tap rotates when you try to open it. Lot of cobwebs behind the bathroom door. The curtains are no good for they are see through. The sheet on the bed was so smelly it seems as if a few dirty people slept on it without the sheets being changed. The "clean" cutlery in the cupboards were dirty. The plates were greasy with finger marks on it. Lot of dust under the bed. There were people on the upper apartment which had wooden floors. People were walking around till after 12 at night, with no regards to the people underneath. Never ever will we stay there again!

Basic but beautiful by

We were at Picardie for a wedding. We had good service while there. The facilities are simple, but you are supplied with everything you need. The surrounding farm is beautiful and serene.

Slept bad as mattress was poor. Reception upon arrival not good. No explanation of where breakfast is served or when. Location is beautiful though. Just work on customer service.
