Laventaba Guest House

Laventaba Guest House is a cozy country-style guest house located in the quiet town of Wakkerstroom. The guest house is a historical heritage house built in 1880 and still has that old classical feel that guests can experience in the décor and historical touches.

The guest house has four comfortable bedrooms as well as a separate cottage, furnished with beautiful antiques and 100% cotton percale linen. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms; three with showers (including the cottage) and two with luxurious baths. In winter the hot water bottles with their nostalgic touch of a visit to grandma's, offer comfort for the cold. Guests can unwind in the garden and the surrounding countryside, and enjoy a healthy breakfast each morning in the dining room. A number of pubs and restaurants in town will treat the guest to local cuisine and homemade delights for lunch and dinner.

Wakkerstroom is situated in a beautiful valley, 27 km east of Volksrust. The town has many historical buildings and guests can relax in the tranquil surroundings. The town, nestled in a valley of rolling hills with wetlands is known for its birding. The village and surroundings are a mecca for activities such as mountain biking, hiking, horse-riding, fishing, birdwatching, and markets that happen throughout the year.
