Nestled almost invisibly among the beautiful hills bordering Cradle of Humankind, The Farm provides a relaxed vacation base that will restore your soul. Soak up the endless views of the Hartbeespoort Dam and the Magalies Mountains, while enjoying the lovely braai and pool facilities at The Farm.

The Main Farmhouse consists of three suites, each with an en-suite bathroom and its own entrance. All rooms have access to an open-plan kitchen and lounge with a TV, the Internet and a DVD player. Great for groups and families.

The Rondavel consists of two huge rooms each with own en-suite bathrooms. There is also a small cooking facility.

As well as being a beautiful seclusion, this safe area also boasts attractions such as walking trails, nature parks, golf courses and modern shopping facilities. Beside our self-catering options you can also head over to our well-known restaurant, African Swiss, just below The Farm.

We had a wonderful stay by

Mike and Donovan plus all the staff are absolutely friendly and will go the extra mile for their guests. We had a wonderful stay. It is wonderful to meet people that still preserve nature and create a hide-away within a natural bush surrounding. The food are excellent. We will definitely make use of the facilities again in future.

Loved the week we spent at the Farm. The hosts were outstanding & it was wonderful to just enjoy nature while being close enough to take part in the activities around the dam. Will most definitely be doing this again.

Peaceful Getaway with an awesome view by

Had a wonderful stay at The Farm this weekend. the view from the Pappas is amazing together with the hospitality of the owner and the staff as well as the food at the African swiss. would definitely recommend anyone looking for a nice quite weekend away from the city.

The View by

The accommodation was exactly what the owner said it was going to be...a Zulu Hut interpretation but i do believe that more emphasis could have been put on the fact that there would be No TV, No WI-FI, almost No lighting, No Mirror and Nowhere to hang your clothes. Some maintenance was sorely needed as well because all the taps were broken. We were never given the key to the door which led to the outside bath and never bothered to ask as it would only accommodate one person at a time. Restaurant did not serve what was on the menu and also ran out of certain dishes. The stay was pleasant enough but is more suited to back packers. The picture in the top left hand corner is something we did not see or was never mentioned to us.

The hospitality from Mike and his staff was excellent. The rondavel was beautiful and the views from our rondavel were breath taking. Even the food from the African Swiss Restaurant was delicious. An amazing relaxing place to spend the weekend at.

Amazing view and privacy by

Most comfortable, cosy unit. The fireplace inside was a definite wow! Loved the privacy and tranquility. Will most definitely book again!



I would like to thank you guys for the excellent service we have received with our stay @ the FARM.
We enjoyed it a lot and would definitely recommend and return to this FARM as we felt very welcomed and I would like to thank MIKE for the admirable stay.

The food was superb and the staff was brilliant.

On the arrival of Friday the night we did get a bit cold due to the weather but I do understand that it is unforeseen and nature had to do its thing.

I have also asked my kids how they have experienced the stay and the response was WOW, so much sightseeing the animals the food the nature the loved it all.

Once again thank you so much!!!
