Luiperdkloof Trout Lodge is situated in the scenic Balele Mountains betweeen Wakkerstroom, Utrecht, Vryheid and Paulpietersburg. The lodge offers comfortable accommodation in two self-catering chalets beside two trout dams, ready and waiting for the avid trout fisherman and his family.

There are two cosy cottages to choose from and are both well equipped for a self-catering holiday. The cottages each sleep six people, have two bedrooms and an open-plan living area and kitchen. Private covered verandas offer a place to relax and enjoy the view.

This privately owned farm has two trout dams covering 8ha in total. Activities on the property include invigorating birding and botanical walks, testing your skills against the fighting trout, cooling off in our sparkling mountain streams or simply cuddling up with a good book around the log fire.

We spent one night at Luiperkloof Trout Lodge en route to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi park from OR Tambo airport. We got lost nearby and arrived at 8pm, which was a pity because the next morning, we awoke to stunning views front (beautiful dam) and back (cows and sheep). The accommodation is spacious (for 4), clean and well laid out with very nice self catering facilities. The hosts and their 2 dogs were great. It's a great place to relax as it's so peaceful and quiet. Highly recommend this place. One night was not enough!

We enjoyed the location, the remoteness, Sundowners overlooking the dam. Farm strolls.
