Set along the banks of the Kowie River, Mansfield Game Reserve offers the ideal getaway destination to nature enthusiasts. It is located on the outskirts of Port Alfred and is a great option for guests visiting this part of the Sunshine Coast.

The reserve offers a variety of accommodation options catering to the needs of travellers. Guests hoping to stay in comfort with modern conveniences will not be disappointed when choosing to stay at Mansfield Lodge. It offers self-catering accommodation for families or groups.

The Eagles Nest Cabin has an open-plan design and can comfortably sleep up to four guests. The reserve also has 11 types of camping accommodation for guests who want to be even closer to nature. The cabin and the camping options do not have electricity, but generator power is available on request at an additional cost.

The reserve offers a variety of activities to enjoy. These include birdwatching, fishing, hiking and walking. Guests can also enjoy exclusive game-viewing opportunities and encounter wild life such as zebra, wildebeest and impala to name just a few. This is a truly unique destination to enjoy an unforgettable stay.

Great Stay by

Very good service. Awesome views. Lots of game around, plenty to see on game drives. Nice quiet stay. Close to Port Alfred, and the beaches.

Breathtaking view, wish we had stayed longer. Everything you need is provided down to firewood and firelighters. Great experience and friendly accommodating staff.

Just relaxing by

The area was very pretty and we saw some game. However we found the farm small and not a lot of game viewing. The camp site was very pleasant and the staff were very efficient and friendly. Pity that the restaurant was not open. Pool and facilities were well maintained. A lovely spot for a weekend of camping. We did bring home a few ticks, so not sure what can be done about that. Thanks for having us. The one problem was the constant planes overhead and late into Sunday night they were still flying.

What a special getaway...so quiet with fantastic views from the deck, definitely a place to get away from the hustle and bustle! Recommended for couples who need some time for themselves!

June/July School Vacation by

A great thank you to Mansfield Game Reserve staff especially JD and Dwayne. We really enjoyed the stay at Eagle Nest and most of all the no electricity had my kids look at alternative ways to keep them busy. We enjoyed the game drive and the fact we could get so close to animals. Many thanks and you will definitely see us again. Cheers
