The Kalahari Game Lodge (KGL) is a luxury private game farm situated next to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (KTP) in Namibia. This oasis surrounded by red sand is a mere 18 km west of the newly opened Mata-Mata border post. This new border post has a number of benefits. Day Trips can be made into the park but no driving is allowed through the KTP park from one border to cross into the next in one day - a minimum two night stay inside the KTP park is required to cross borders. The KGL has eight luxury chalets with beautiful views of the Auob river. For the more adventurist tourists, there are six secluded campsites (100 m apart) in the Auob riverbed. Each camp site has a private ablution block. The KGL also boasts a beautiful restaurant. The KGL is home to a variety of indigenous fauna and flora ? approximately 200 bird, 58 reptile and 55 game species, not to mention the free-roaming Kalahari lion.

Heerlike kamp plek by

Ons het `n heerlike tyd gehad by Kalahari Game Lodge.

Jewel in the Kalahari by

My husband and I took a break visiting the Kalahari Game lodge. What a nice place. We were warmly welcomed by the Management couple on duty and check in was short and very up to date with an online Ipad system. Rooms was clean and nicely decorated. Amazing views over the grass plains with antelope roaming in front of the rooms. The only bad experience was the solar geyser system. If you don't take a shower at night, the water is way to cold in the morning. Maybe summer time will be better but it is not really winter yet
