Gorges Lodge is situated just 22 km from the village of Victoria Falls, halfway between the village and the airport. The lodge is set on the edge of the Batoka Gorge, 250 metres above the mighty Zambezi River, with a magnificent view of the gorge.

GORGES LOGE VICTORIA FALLS RECENSIES (85 %) An amazing stay at the "Gorge"ous lodge by Anne Reilly, United Kingdom 15 October 2012 This place is truely amazing and idealic. The views are awesome, the lodges have lots of special little touches and the food was first class. You will be well looked after if you stay here as the staff are friendly but not overbearing. We would have loved to stay longer and would definately return if we went back to Vic Falls. Excellent value for money too. Amazing potential by Ronald Edwards, South Africa 05 January 2015 The lodge is located in a spectacular gorge and the views are incredible. The room is well appointed and the bathroom one of its best features, besides the balcony overlooking the gorge. 2 three quarter beds in the room is a bit odd, and as a couple who sleep in the same bed were left with a relatively small bed to sleep on. In my view, a King bed would be better suited to this room. Food was average and a bit over priced for what was on offer. $20 for a average steak and boiled vegetables is unacceptable. The menu offered was very simple and straight forward and not put together by a chef in my view. When asked how we would like our scrambled eggs (soft medium or hard) we were convinced that the person cooking was not a trained chef. note that although the lodge is 20km from town, 11km is on a gravel road, so traveling distance is a bit deceiving. One thing that was unacceptable was the management smoking in the breakfast room while we were eating breakfast. Firstly, this in my knowledge is illegal. and secondly, for non smokers an awful experience to have whilst eating breakfast. This is totally unacceptable considering the rate of the room per night. Its a beautiful lodge with amazing potential, but the management of the lodge is lacking and the food is of a lower quality than was expected. GORGES LOGE VICTORIA FALLS LOCATIE
