The Fox Den is ideally situated 3 km off the N1 in the town of Trompsburg, 110 km north of Colesberg and 120 km south of Bloemfontein. The position is wonderful for anybody wishing a relaxing stop over when travelling between North and South. The Fox Den has thirteen self-catering units that can comfortably accommodating two to six guests respectively per unit. All the units have showers in the bathroom. The kitchens are equipped for self catering. Each unit has DSTV decoders with the Hotel package. All of the units are equipped with ceiling fans. All linen and towels are supplied. Came and enjoy our starry nights with a pleasant fire going and lovely piece of Karoo lamb; braai packs are available on site (please arrange before hand), or visit the restaurant in town or the bakery just up the street. Complimentary breakfasts are supplied in the form of a health breakfast that consists of muffins, yogurt, cereal, muesli and juice. Complimentary coffee and tea are supplied in the units Facilities available: Save Parking on-site, private entrance, tea and coffee-making facilities in unit, television in unit, braai/barbecue onsite, braai packs order beforehand, hunting less than 30 km, fully equipped kitchen. Please note we do not allow pets.

We received a very warm welcome and really appreciated the little personal touches like the biscuits, the basket with wine and pretzels, etc. I highly recommend Fox Den.

Fly screens at the windows would allow guests to leave the windows open overnight.

Fox Den was a real eye opener of what can be done in a remote town. There was nothing to fault this excellent accommodation on. The visitors book is full of praise. Well deserved. What was supplied for our breakfast was great. Thanks.

Great stop-over by

Well appointed accommodation in a tranquil location, with fully equipped self-catering kitchenette. We used the braai facilities, enjoying a stunning evening in the garden outside the cottage.

Unexpected treasure by

Wonderful accommodation with unexpected muffins,juice,milk,cereals etc thrown in. Excellent host.

Each room is nicer than the next by

Fantastic accommodation. New furnishings, very clean and quiet. Mari is most hospitable and always accommodating. This is our third one night stop over and just love it.

Easy Stop by

Just off the N1 but in a cute litte town so don't feel like you are at a 'highway stop'. Settled in quickley, took a stroll through town, got take-outs down then road and settled in for the night. Refreshed for drive the next day.

Loved free breakfast goodies. Disliked noisy people in other chalet.

Private stay by

The linen was crisp and fresh and bed . unit nice and private and peaceful.location convenient. Breakfast just right for M early start - with cereal ,yoghurt, muffin and fresh juice . I would recommend this b&b and use them again en route to the Cape
