Royal Country Inn

The Royal Country Inn in Dundee combines the benefits of modern accommodation with an Old World charm. Situated in the heart of the Battlefields, halfway between Johannesburg and Durban, it is the ideal stopover for weary travellers.

The Inn offers a total of 29 bedrooms, 24 of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and we have five backpacker rooms. All rooms feature satellite TV and are fully serviced daily by our housekeeping staff. Our downstairs bedrooms open onto a peaceful garden courtyard and some of the rooms upstairs have lovely little balconies overlooking Victoria Street and the beautiful garden. The backpacker rooms are comfortable and affordable, and feature two communal bathrooms shared between the five bedrooms.

A large dining area opens onto small courtyards on either side and in the corner of the garden there is a lovely shaded area where one could enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, or even a lovely meal. Join us for a drink at the resident pub, the Garrulous Griffin. The pub bursts with charm and atmosphere, and is highly conducive to a quiet night at the pub counter.
