Terrible!!!! by

This was terrible.  Upon arrival the lady at reception did not know of my booking (if the Recptionists go through the bookings of the day early when assuming duty, they might be better prepaired).  SafariNow made a spelling error in my surname and the Receptionist could not find my booking.  The room was dirty - the carpet looked like someone just ate Simba chips on it and left the crumbs there.  Even though I booked the accommodation almost two months in advance, the room were not ready when we arrived.  I had to phone reception twice to ask them to prepare the sleeping couch for my daughter - no linen provided, no pillows provided, couch not made up, the phone was not working properly and I had to fiddle with the cord to get proper connection (Room 135). The pool was so dirty you could not see the bottom of the pool.  You must pay R70.00 per person for breakfast but you only get a crousant, saussages, scrambled egg, toast, ham slices and cheese slices, postoaties with milk, coffee, tea, small juice. We went to Spur for breakfast and for R80.00we got 2 rashes of bacon, saussage, steak, chips, toast, 2 eggs, mushrooms and fried tomatoes.The Road Lodge will really have to better their service and breakfast.
