Approximately eight kilometers from Riebeek Kasteel, you will find cozy, rustic and African inspired accommodation situated in Hermon. Enjoy a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere in one of the Cape's most beautiful valleys.

Relax and unwind in the self-catering house that consists of five bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, fireplace and a huge indoor braai room. TV and CD player. We also have two sleeper couches in the living area should you need more accommodation.

Your initial reaction on driving into Hermon is: "Where on earth have we landed now?" Hermon consists of a few houses, a small hotel, a few large warehouses, a cafe, a station and the two guest houses - Hermon and /hom - belonging to Boetie and Marika Nel. But this is a classic case of: "Never judge a book by its cover!" Our room - The Shack - was quirky, comfortable and more than adequate. Interesting touches like side tables made from truck wheel rims, washing up basin made from a galvanised tub, and an "open plan" shower really appealed to us. The hospitality and friendliness shown to us by Marika, Boetie, Oom Chris and Tannie Erika (?) was outstanding. It was Marika's birthday, and we, complete strangers, were invited to join in the festivities. We drank wine, ate Boetie and Chris's superb snoek, calamari and mussel soup and enjoyed excellent company and conversation until late. Thank you, Marika and Boetie. We will be back!
