City Lodge Umhlanga might just as well be a 5 star hotel and not a 3 star. The cleanliness - impeccable. The service from porters, cleaners, reception, dining and information very helpful and resourceful. They worked well with Road Lodge as I could not park my vehicle in their designated parking due to height (2.1m max), Road Lodge arranged for parking at the Gateway Mall which they in turn arranged for free parking. Breakfast excellent! Parents of 80 and 76 years old was very spoilt and taken care of by staff - a real pleasure. My only disappointment - I was assured that breakfast was included in my price paid by Safarinow when I called and when I called ahead to the Hotel for clarification, only to be charged  R 1000.00 for breakfast on checkout! I think you need to make it clear that NO meals are included in the price paid. I specifically called ahead to check and rechecked, thus my disappointment. Otherwise, I would certainly stay there again.
