Situated between the Free State, Eastern Cape, and Transkei, and nestled between mountains, natural creeks and the Orange River, lies Breakaway Trails. Just 190 km from Bloemfontein on the N6 towards Aliwal North.

Enjoy the comfortable accommodation while still receiving the outdoor experience, being overwhelmed by countless stars, hearing the fish eagles call, and seeing small game such as the mountain reedbuck, steenbuck, springbuck and blesbuck in their natural surroundings.

Exploring offers the Orange River, with all its splendour, natural creeks with caves and rock art, and numerous varieties of trees and bird life. Shed all ties with stress, wallow in nature, and leave feeling like a kid again.

A stunning surprise out in the sticks by

We received such a stunning surprise when we arrived and saw such a beautiful place in the middle of nowhere. Chalets were brilliantly done and our only regret was we couldn't stay longer than one night. Next time we must stay for a few days.It was a lovely stopover for us. What an experience for us city slickers.

Peaceful stay by

We had the most wonderful experience staying on your magnificent farm, albeit just a short stay of one night. We slept comfortably and well. We will most certainly be back to stay when we are in the area again and will make a point to extend our stay so as to explore more of what is on offer (hikes, river etc.), and to take in more of the remote beauty. Hosts were very friendly and helpful (even provided something we forgot to bring for free!).
Accommodation is appealing, clean, views from room is wonderful. Will definately be back.
