Anchor Creek Marina is situated in the quiet town of Deneyesville on the banks of the Vaal Dam. The property offers basic self-catering accommodation and camping facilities on the water's edge.The Waterfront Units are ideal for families as they can accommodate up to eight people each. Cutlery and crockery is supplied. The Double rooms are basic and can accommodate only two people each. It has no cooking facilities. The Campsites offer grassy areas with a braai area. Pleas note that due to the water level fluctuation, should you want to camp on the waters edge there is no water and electrical points.The "Vaaldam Monster" Super tube is up and running.Guests can enjoy meals at the Deck Restaurant over the water. The Vaal Dam is a great place to enjoy many water activities. On offer are Boat Trips, fishing, skiing, wake boarding and tubing. Guests can enjoy Our "NEW VAALDAM Monster" Super tube. Please ask about Slipage fees for your boat when booking.

Also, the place we stayed in was not too clean and could be serviced a bit more. Anchor creek marina by Peter Wills, South Africa 28 March 2013 Not up to standard for what you are paying. Poorly equipped. Shower drain was blocked, had to dig out loads of hair and rubbish to unblock it to be able to use it. I doubt if it was ever was cleaned. Sleeper couch did not fold down flat and it was broken. Railing to stairs loose. Staff at resort not friendly at all. Never again! We drove 2 and a half hours with two children only to find the place dirty with beer bottles and wipes everywhere. Bathroom extremely dirty. Not suitable for a family. We had to drive back home without our money or decent place to stay. It was false advertising. Restaurant service - Pathetic, accommodation pathetic, Expecting a family of 4 to be separated into 2 different rooms which are absolutely nothing more than a 'Shag / one night stand room' is totally uncalled for. The amounts quoted by Safari was not even close to the amount that I had to pay at the establishment. I will never book at this establishment ever again. overall relaxing by Chane Botha 03 April 2018 Went there not expecting much for a 2 star fishing resort. The lapa is basic and sufficient. The cleanliness of the place however is terrible, had to wash all the cupboards and crockery before use. Spider webs under tables, couches and beds. There is an electric problem causing the electronics in the kitchen to "shock" We had to endure a 2 hour screaming match on Saturday night between staff at the restaurant and waited between 1-2 hours on both occasions for toasted sandwiches. My 8 year old did however enjoy all the rides (R20 each) and overall we had a relaxing time. View was great by Jacques Peterson 09 April 2018 Electric points and lighting needs to work.
