Using the 'nommer asseblief' wind-up telephone was very cool. My kids never knew that kind of phone existed. It would have been nice if we were told that the 16 km out of hobhouse is dirt road. Also that everything, including the petrol station, closes at 1 pm on Saturdays and that nothing is open on Sundays. Make sure your car has enough petrol and take your own food! Was a bit dissapointed that the river that flows below the mill has silted up. But James, the guide, was fantastic with his knowledge of how the mill used to work. He also walked us through the forest to the banks of the Caledon River which was spectacular in the morning light. Well worth the drive. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
