Rose Bella B&B is situated in Mthatha or Madiba country, as the beloved statesman, Nelson Mandela, was born in the nearby town of Mvezo. Accommodation is offered in five comfortably furnished bedrooms, each equipped with a TV and DStv and furnished with a double or queen-size bed. The en-suite bathrooms consist of showers only, with one bathroom containing a bath only.

Guests can relax in the communal lounge or make use of the fridge and microwave in the kitchen. Breakfast is available at an additional cost. Parking for 10 vehicles is provided and all the rooms are non-smoking.

Mthatha lies at the heart of the Nelson Mandela Route, established to give structure to the area for visitors who want to explore his history. The route starts in King Williams Town where guests can visit the grave of Steve Biko, the leader of the Black Consciousness movement and moves through Bisho along the N2 to Umtata. The Nelson Mandela Museum was opened 10 years to the day after Madiba was released from prison.

For nature-lovers, the Dwesa and Cwebe Nature Reserves, Hluleka Nature Reserve and Luchaba Nature Reserve all offer a variety of bird and wildlife. For the golfers, the Wild Coast Golf Course offers 18 holes and is ranked as one of the top 10 golf courses in South Africa.
