Ngala Beach Lodge

Ngala Beach Lodge is situated on the Northern Lakeshore, one of the finest of the Lake Malawi hotels. It is approximately a 3 hour drive, or a 50 minute flight north of Lilongwe, between Salima and Nkhata Bay.

We welcome you to our luxury accommodation and friendly personal service, with inspiring views of both the lake and the Vipya Mountains. Ngala Lodge is one of the few places on the lake that offers a view of both sunrise and sunset over the water. The whole property provides a feeling of peace and tranquillity, with a warm atmosphere coupled with the highest levels of service.

Accommodation is in individually decorated en-suite guest rooms and chalets. Each room has a large bedroom, a covered sitting area and an en-suite bathroom. In addition to our double- and twin rooms, we have family rooms as well. The spacious rooms will ensure comfort, luxury and privacy.

The main lodge houses our main bar, lounge area and restaurant. The conference room features a widescreen TV which can be connected to a computer for presentations. We are able to host functions from small events to destination beach weddings.

We offer healthy and tasty meals, as well as pizza nights on Wednesdays. Try our local bread and dinner rolls made especially for us by a baker in our village. For groups of six or more, beach barbecues can also be arranged.

Various activities are on offer of which include volcanic hot springs, African village visits, nature trails, birdwatching, cultural evenings and boat cruises.
