Maskam Guest Farm is situated 6km from N7 (Cape to Namibia route) and 10 km from Vanrhynsdorp, along a dirt and gravel road. It is the perfect location for travelers on the N7, business people in the area, tourists to experience peaceful farm life and paradise for the botanists.

We have 3 (2 bedroom) cottages that are fully equipped with, DStv, WiFi, coffee and tea facilities and air conditioner or fan for summer and heater or cozy fire places for winter. All of these cottages have barbecue facilities with the most panoramic views of the surrounding Maskam and Gifberg mountains.
All the kitchens are fully equipped for those that would like to self cater and for those who want to be spoiled, a delicious dinner and full breakfast is served on order.

The acitivies on the farm include mountain climbing, walking routes, bird life, bicycle routes, Swimming Pool and playground for kids and farm animals. During August and September the farm is covered with beautiful flowers (1500 species in total).
Attractions in the area include Gifberg tour, wine tour, Victorian buildings and Kokerboom nursery in Vanrhynsdorp. Day tours could also be done to Nieuwoudtville, Clanwilliam or Strandfontein.

Sincere thanks and gratitude go to Ancarene for our very pleasant stay at Maskam Guest Farm during March 2012. The friendly reception by Whisky, the Sheepdog, the neat and well-kept Berggans cottage, and your recommendations of activities to do and places to visit was highly appreciated. Highlights during our stay include the beautiful mountain views, the starry night sky, and the absolute silence, driving the Gifberg pass, and exploring the Maskam 4X4 route on foot. Our self catering cottage was well equipped and meals and braaiwood could be arranged if required. Your effort in establishing the Maskam cottages and your passion for creating such a nice oasis in this region is truly appreciated. It is the perfect staging point for exploring this beautiful area even outside of the flower season. We will definitely recommend Maskam Guest Farm to our friends.

We stayed for only one night on out way from Namibis to Cape Town. We loved the place and loved dinner and. breakfast being brought to our cottage (berggans). And the food was great and more than enough. for a family of five.

Tranquil, comfortable, immaculate, beautiful location! by

Snuggled in the feet of the Maskam Mountain and the Gifberg (Poison Mountain - so named because the Bushmen used the berries of these mountains to poison their arrows) this delightful venue had everything we needed. Spacious shower, well organised kitchen, comfortable warm bed. We had a glorious rest in the expansive peace of the North West Province. Hostess Ancarene is most gracious, and cares for all your needs. She will also make meals if you give her 24 hours notice. We bought packs of the organic rooibos they grow on the farm, plus there is marmalade and grape jam also for sale - all grown on the farm. Highly recommended!

This is a gem. As you turn the corner onto the gravel road, and see the Maskam Mountain Range ahead of you, it has an instant calming effect as if you were in a total different era. Would highly recommend.
