Mariepskop View Chalets is a self-catering lodge situated on the foothills of the northern Drakensberg, with stunning views over Mariepskop. It offers unique and memorable Blyde River Canyon accommodation that will have guests coming back.

Accommodation includes self-catering chalets, backpacker cabins and a camping site. The chalets contain fully equipped kitchens, TVs, air-conditioning and linen. There is also a communal braai area and swimming pool in the central gardens. The backpacker cabins are set in natural bushveld. There is a separate fully equipped kitchen with a pool table and television. There are also braai- and seating areas for large groups. Campers are welcome, and can enjoy the facilities of the backpackers' kitchen and swimming pool.

Mariepskop View Chalets is ideally situated for guests to readily explore the surrounding attractions, including the Moholoholo Animal Rehabilitation Centre, the Bombyx Mori Silk Farm and the Kruger National Park.

Disappointing by

The owners of this complex are busy updating it at the moment, and not a day too soon if our accommodation was anything to judge by. Advertised as a "luxury" rondavel, it was anything but and instead was rather basic and run-down. Very disappointing.

Good surprise! by

Very nice place with a wonderful view on Marieskop mountains. Very clean and WiFi available.

Small grown houses by

Lovely protected area with an accomundation that was tinny but still nice. - Haven't found the wifi spot (Not even directly at the shared kitchen) - It smelled kind of odd (shared room and staying room) But all together it was very clean and a perfect stay for a short time.

Letitia was an awesome host with lost of tips for things to do in the area. Good value for money even though the communal facilities could use some TLC. Great location close to the various attractions in the area. Only big negative is that it is also located on a busy road so constant hum of traffic in the background.
