Maguga Lodge is located on the edge of the spectacular Maguga Dam, 20 kms from Piggs Peak in the heart of the Hhohho region, in The Kingdom of Swaziland. Ideal for travellers from Kruger Park, Mpumalanga and Mozambique. Maguga Lodge is surrounded by some of the oldest mountains in the world: the Makhonjwa Mountains. Within these mountains Nsangwini Rock art is found. Located in 1958, contains more diversity of subject matter than any rock art found since. To help you experience the abundance of nature surrounding the Lodge, we have 35 Rondavels, sleeping two people, with en-suite bathroom, DSTV, air conditioning and patio. 2 self-catering cottages on the banks of the dam, one sleeping four people and the other ten. We also have a large Restaurant with an a-la-carte menu (buffet can be pre arranged for larger groups) and deck looking out to the dam (Open daily from 7am - 9pm) as well as a stunning pool and lapa area. You can often see Impala around the lodge. Our versatile venue makes Maguga Lodge an excellent, and scenic, choice for holidays, conferencing and weddings.

Wonderful stay by

Awesome.Wonderful views from a the comfort of a romantic African style suite. The breakfast was divine and the staff where always helpful and friendly. It was peaceful and quite with no disturbances but we always came back to a spick and span room.

Nice Place to Stay by

Rooms seems to be nice and romantic but lots of insects and not fully completed (still work in progress, TV under installation) Food buffet OK but menu not fresh enough and not tasty Welcome and check-out not enough friendly and they ask to pay again even with the pre-paid voucher ! However : nice place to stay in Swaziland, close to Malolotja National Reserve, close to Bulembu, and not far away from Ezulwini (1hour) No Swimming pool

Mislead by

Drought has the would be dam almost at empty, not creating the vein expected in the pictures.
No discount was offered on account of this, in fact it was not event mentioned... very misleading and a real potty!
The camp braai facilities were not maintained and cleaned daily (a standard anywhere else we have camped).
The bin points where flipping far away and not dotted equally for tenants to use.
The electrical posts had to be connected with a massively long Extention lead... that we had to roll out, that had two electrical points at the wash basin by the ablution block.

The staff were very friendly.

The prices for the food and drink at the resturant were very competitive, although they had "run out" of almost every breakfast item when we had gone through to dine.

Overnight stay by

We had a comfortable stay in a chalet overlooking the impressive Maguga Dam [It must be even more impressive when full!] Accommodation was good, comfortable and clean, and dinner and breakfast in the restaurant enjoyable. Very friendly staff. What a lovely area!
