Unforgetable by

Very nice place, the accommodation is super and the staff is Wonderful... We spent our first night in South Africa with them and it was inforgettable.......Thanks a lot

Quiet stay to recharge by

Bathrooms can improve. Minimal wood supplied although it was confirmed that it would be supplied. Bathrooms water outlet leaked underneath one of our tents. On the bright side, safe and quiet. Awesome views. Still was a nice stay

The view by

a lot of things laying around, not so pleasant smell due to the frog breeding, but 'n lovely homey feel and very comfie beds!

Highly recommended by

Beautiful scenery, helpful person that stayed there late to assist us with coming in and clean bathroom facilities. Campsite looked out over stunning mountain passes just past Sabie. Close to beautiful hikes and many waterfalls.

Really enjoyed our stay. Tents were well equipped, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

A wonderful weekend in the forest! by

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mac Mac Forest Retreat. Our safari tent was well equipped, even with a plastic plate for children. Lots of rugs on the floor and extra blankets to keep out the cold. Was great to be able to take our dogs with as well!! We had some really lovely walks through the forest with them. We had plenty of firewood and were offered more after the first night in case we had used it all. I loved the detail and thought put into everything, like a tablecloth put on the outside table for us and giving us a tent with a double bed (I'm not sure if they are all like that but I expected single beds from the picture). All the staff we were in contact with were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed every minute and would definitely go back.
