We would like to assure guests that despite the drought conditions we have an adequate water supply for our guest as we have a borehole on the property.

Lazy Likkewaan offers affordable and comfortable self-catering accommodation in the scenic Free State village of Smithfield.

There are three well-appointed units, of which all have en-suite bedrooms and living areas. Each unit has a fully equipped kitchen available for all your self-catering needs. All units also have their own private patios with built-in braai facilities and outdoor seating.

The village of Smithfield has many cultural attractions including Smithfield Books and Fresh Paint gallery. The Laughing Likkewaan Restaurant is just a short walk away from the units. Guests can expect delicious food and a delightful dining experience.

Appreciate not only the Free State sunrise every morning, but also the stunning mountain views that can be seen from anywhere on the property.

An additional person will pay R150.00 per person.

Very cozy and friendly service by

On our arrival which was after 10pm they were very accommodating and Cicilia the helper lady even switched on the electric blacket for us prior to our arrival which was very much appreciated. All in all it was real value for money. You will we seeing us again. Regards, Darryl & Monique

Room was clean and neat. There are a few maintenance issues: 1. Window handle broken off, threfore window cannot be locked. 2. Loose zink tap. 3. Insufficient towel drying rails in bathroom.

Great Food & Friendly Host by

Lovely meal with great flavour and homemade ice cream. Comfortable, well appointed room. Problem with bedside light fixed immediately.

The room is spacious with kitchen neccesities for a self catering place. However it was sooooo cold as there was no heater. I would have opted to pay extra for the heater cos it's not nice being cold.

Hi Nyekello - thank you for your feed back - and Yes Smithfield is Cold in July! Our apologies however - we do have heater which we supply to guests on request and the beds do have electric blankets - it seems that you were not informed of this - again our apologies - Greg at the Likkewaan

Very friendly reception, Tendai was very helpful, gave us bottled water and offered to supply milk by

The exterior looked old, but the interior was well appointed and looked as if it may have been refurbished recently. The restaurant was not available, but Greg contacted and booked a restaurant in the town for us. This alternative (Buckley's) was very nice.
