We are situated in Ermelo, two and a half hours from OR Tambo International Airport, and en route to Mbabane, Swaziland, which is a further one and a half hours from Ermelo.

LA PICASSO GUESTHOUSE REVIEWS (69 %) La Picasa by Ian Leach, South Africa 01 August 2010 The rooms are comfortable despite the fact that the cupboards do not close properly and there is only one power-point for the TV, decoder, fridge, kettle and heater. The electricity tripped on Friday night and I managed to find the mains box in the kitchen area. There are no burgler bars on the windows so one is afraid to leave a window open at night. The dining area is part of the entrance lobby and is very small. If there are guests busy with breakfast it is extremely difficult to walk through the area to the front door with ones luggage as the dining tables take up all the space. On Saturday morning after having requested breakfast at 07:30 there was no coffee available as it still had to be brewed. There were no side plates so I had to use a saucer to butter my toast and the eggs had to be sent back as I had requested soft fried and received hard fried. The front door of the house does not fit correctly and one has to lift the door up by it's handle to lock or unlock it. Checking in and checking out was effortless. Dissapointing by Merick Moss, South Africa 23 April 2015 Arrived the evening of the 21/04/2015 checked in and was shown to the room, it's wasn't long to discover the DSTV didn't work, and the room floor dirty, big blotches of tomato sauce was left to dry from a previous guests dinner. Wanting to make coffee there was only cheap and disgusting Ricoffy available which isn't coffee. I ended up changing rooms which was much better, the bath leaked water all over the floor, the pillows upon closer inspection seem to be over ten years old, they put two pillows in a pillow case- horrifying at R550 p/n can you not afford to buy new pillows. A questionnaire asks if you have dietary requirments I asked for a pork free breakfast as I don't eat pork as well as carb/sugar free- the morning's breakfast consisted of pork viennas (disgustingly cheap rubbish) bacon and sugared yogurt and toast, glad I only spent a night. Will never return. Jennifer Chew, England 24 June 2015 We found La Picasso efficiently run, clean and comfortable. An electric heater had been switched on in our room before we arrived, so although it was a chilly winter's evening the room was comfortably warm. A good breakfast was served.
