This is a comfortable self-catering unit situated inside the beautiful Kloppenheim Country Estate, an ideal country retreat set in the heart of the Highlands Meander. The estate is located near Machadodorp and Dullstroom, as well as two hours from OR Tambo International Airport.

The unit consists of two bedrooms, two bathrooms of which the main is en-suite, a fully equipped kitchen, an open-plan living area and a lovely patio with seating.

Kloppenheim will spoil you with culinary delights, from sumptuous breakfasts served in the enclosed terrace, to four-course dinners served in the restaurant. Infused with international influences, the menu takes on local flare to compliment some of South Africa's fine wines as well as wines from France.

We stayed in Lodge 206. Service and accommodation, really good 4 star. Fishing was a bit of a let-down as the dams was not stocked. Our stay was very pleasant and we enjoyed it, will definitely return if they pay attention to good fishing as well.

Vacation at Kloppenheim by

This is a very lovely place to visit if you need some peace and tranquility and wan't to be one with nature. Our stay was very awesome and the place is equipped with all those little things which make you feel at home!! Will be definitely going back soon.

Nice but not what it was before by

Just a few things didn't add up to the great stay we expected. We stayed about 3 years ago and had a great time and was really impressed with the staff and service. This time we found it really lacking. We had requested that we would be 4 adults and 2 children- we asked for bedding to be supplied for the children for the stretchers we bought for them to sleep on. This was not supplied and we needed to request this from the reception. They then bought one set! Keeping with the bedding issue the main beds sheet is too small for the bed and the duvet is too big for the duvet cover. I know these are little things but when pay for a weekend away you want some comfort. The 2 single beds had the same issue as the main bed. We won't go back to Kloppenhiem.
