JAK Strydom Private Nature Reserve

The J.A.K Strydom Private Nature Reserve (malaria-free) is situated 10km downstream from Aliwal North on the banks of the Orange River. There are 2 self-catering lodges which can accommodate 12 and 10 people respectively, so it's ideal for large group getaways for families, friends or corporates.

There are 2 lodges - the 1st is the Bontebok 6 bedroom lodge and consists of 6 bedroom units, each sleeping up to 4 people. The 2nd is the Buffalo lodge and consists of 5 bedroom en-suite units. Bontebok 6 bedroom lodge - 6 bedroom units + Pool. Each 2 bedroom unit shares a bathroom and a small living area, so this lodge is better suited to a multi-family group, or a group of friends who are happy to share a bathroom.

There is a communal kitchen and living area overlooking the pool and Nature reserve. There is also a Lapa, fire pit, and sun loungers. Buffalo 5 bedroom lodge - 5 bedroom en-suite units. This lodge is better suited to friends or couples who would prefer a private en-suite bathroom. Each room has 2 x single beds. There is a communal kitchen and living area overlooking the lawn and Nature reserve. Also a pool table, dartboard, Lapa, fire pit, and beanbags.
