Horizonte Beach is situated approximately 490 km north of Maputo on a good tarred road and 35 km south of the town of Inhambane on the coast. The road leading to the resort is a dirt road and is only accessible with a 2x4 with diff-lock, not towing, or 4x4 vehicle. With an airport only 30 km away and just outside Inhambane city, fly-ins and transfers can be arranged.

Vehicles are allowed to launch boats, canoes and kayaks from the beach. Your vehicle can be parked on the beach and driving on the beaches is not permitted. Quad bikes and motor cycles are not allowed on beaches in Mozambique. Horizonte renders itself to a wonderful opportunity of development. With the golden sunset right outside your doorstep and the gentle murmuring of waves lulling you to sleep, this charming spot is clearly one in a million. A hidden gem! by

Mozambique is a very interesting country, but Horizonte could just about be the best thing in that country. Elize and Fanie are the best hosts money could buy, and their resort is beautiful and secluded. All eight of us will make our return sooner rather than later. Would give it 6 out of 5 for friendliness.

We had a very pleasant stay at Horizonte and can recommend it to anyone. Elize and Fanie were most accommodating in every aspect.

Dit was n baie baie aangename verrassing om die oord te ontdek en nog n meer aangename verrassing oor die eienaars van die oord. Elize en Fanie en kids julle is great . We loved our stay at Horizonte Beach. The perfect location to get away from it all. Our modest chalet right on the beach with views of the ocean and a quick stroll over a dune for a swim or long walks on the beach that stretches for miles was all we needed.
